So we have chosen many keyphrases beginning with "Birmingham" such as "Birmingham Web Design" and "Birmingham Web Development" and we have placed these keyphrases in large headings which appear to search engines as <h1>Birmingham Web Design</h1>, for example. We have also used text instead of images for the links in our left navigation bar so that they are easily read by search engines, and this helps search engines to see that we are linking our pages together with certain targeted keyphrases.
